A member of the communications team of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Seth Hammond, has called on Ghanaians to demand greater accountability from political leaders, insisting that citizens must play a more active role in scrutinising governance.
Speaking on Anopa Bosuo on ATV Ghana, Hammond said it is long overdue for citizens to question the actions and decisions of politicians, particularly on issues that directly affect national development. He argued that many leaders have not been fair to Ghanaians, accusing politicians of failing to live up to their responsibilities.
According to him, a strong democracy depends on an informed and assertive citizenry that holds leaders accountable for their promises and performance. He stressed that without public scrutiny, political leaders may continue to act without regard for the needs and expectations of the people.
Hammond therefore urged Ghanaians to remain vigilant and actively engage in governance processes to ensure transparency, accountability, and improved leadership outcomes in the country.
