AMENFI CENTRAL MP ENDS PARTNERSHIP WITH KECHE

August 31, 2026

Member of Parliament (MP) for Amenfi Central Joana Gyan Cudjoe has ended her seven-year professional and contractual relationship with Ghanaian music group KECHE GLOBAL. The relationship, which began in 2019, officially ended in 2026 following the expiration of the agreement. In a statement issued by GEM Multimedia Ghana Limited, Hon. Joana decided not to renew the partnership. During the seven-year period, Ms Joana served as Executive Producer and provided financial and professional support to KECHE, including music production, music videos, marketing, promotion, artist development, branding, travel, performances and management. The statement said her contribution went beyond financial investment, extending to leadership, creative direction, career development and personal commitment to the group's growth. During the partnership, KECHE released several songs and collaborations, including Odo, Same Girl featuring Akwaboah, No Dulling featuring Kuami Eugene, Good Mood featuring Fameye, Party of the Year featuring Mr. Drew and Papapa featuring Lasmid. The statement also disclosed that Ms Joana changed the group's name from KECHE to KECHE GLOBAL as part of efforts to position the group for a wider African and international audience. Despite the end of the professional relationship, KECHE GLOBAL will continue operating independently, with Keche Andrew and Keche Joshua continuing their musical careers together. The statement clarified that the decision concerns only the business relationship and does not affect the personal or family relationship between Joana Gyan Cudjoe and her husband, Keche Andrew. Ms Joana and her companies will no longer be responsible for KECHE GLOBAL's management, financing, investment, promotion or executive production. The group is now free to select its own management, investors and business partners. The statement emphasized that the decision was made peacefully and was not the result of any fight, hatred or controversy. Ms Joana has wished KECHE GLOBAL well and encouraged fans to continue supporting the group's music and future projects. Following the end of the partnership, she said she will focus on new talent, music, investments and other opportunities through GEM Multimedia Ghana.
