Deputy AG Accuses Oppong Nkrumah of peddling Falsehoods
August 21, 2026

Deputy Attorney General and Minister of Justice Dr Srem-Sai has strongly rejected allegations made by former Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, describing them as deliberate falsehoods.
Srem-Sai, in responding to the claims, argued that Oppong Nkrumah’s allegations were not based on facts and appeared to have been made with the intention of misleading the public.
According to him, the issues raised by the former minister require a careful examination of the facts rather than relying on claims he considers inaccurate.
“Oppong Nkrumah’s allegations were deliberate falsehoods,” Srem-Sai said in his response.
His comments have added another layer to the ongoing debate surrounding the allegations, with both sides presenting contrasting accounts of the matter.
Srem-Sai maintained that the public deserves accurate information, particularly when allegations involving individuals or public institutions are made.
He urged those engaging in the debate to focus on verifiable facts and evidence rather than statements that could create confusion or damage reputations.
Oppong Nkrumah, meanwhile, has faced criticism from those who disagree with his claims, as the controversy continues to attract public attention.
The development is expected to fuel further discussion as stakeholders weigh the competing positions and seek clarity on the issues at the centre of the dispute.
