GRIDCo restores full power nationwide after grid disruption

The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) has confirmed the full restoration of power following a disturbance on the national electricity grid that caused interruptions in power supply to parts of the country.

GRIDCo said power supply has been fully restored after its technical teams worked to stabilise the transmission system and return affected sections of the national grid to normal operation.

The disturbance resulted in temporary power outages in some areas, affecting electricity supply to households and businesses.

In a statement, GRIDCo assured the public that the situation had been brought under control and that the national grid was operating normally following the restoration.

The company thanked electricity consumers for their patience and understanding during the period of the disruption.

GRIDCo is responsible for the operation and management of Ghana’s electricity transmission network and works with other power sector stakeholders to ensure reliable electricity supply across the country.
