Mahama pitches Ghana as prime destination for foreign investment

President John Dramani Mahama has called on international investors to consider Ghana and the wider African continent as key destinations for investment, highlighting the region’s growing economic opportunities.

Speaking to global business leaders, President Mahama encouraged investors to increase their presence in Ghana, stressing the country’s potential as a gateway to the broader African market.

He said Ghana was committed to creating an environment that attracts investment, promotes economic growth and supports partnerships between the public and private sectors.

The President also urged investors to look beyond Ghana’s borders and take advantage of opportunities across Africa, particularly in sectors with strong potential for job creation, innovation and sustainable development.

According to President Mahama, increased investment can help strengthen African economies while creating opportunities for young people and supporting long-term development.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to policies aimed at improving the business environment and building confidence among local and international investors.

The President’s appeal forms part of efforts to position Ghana as an attractive investment destination and deepen the country’s engagement with the international business community.

“Invest in Ghana, invest in Africa,” President Mahama said, urging global investors to see the continent not only as a market but also as a partner in driving shared economic growth.
