POLITICAL ANALYST HAILS NDUOM BUSINESSES ABROAD, CALLS FOR SUPPORT FOR INDIGENOUS FIRMS
August 18, 2026

Political analyst Reindolph Afrifa-Oware has commended the continued operations of businesses owned by Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom outside Ghana, describing their performance as a major boost for Ghanaian entrepreneurs home
He said while congratulating Groupe Nduom 10 years excellent banking service in Liberia on ATV’s Anopa Bosuo, Mr. Afrifa-Oware said he was encouraged by the fact that the businesses had continued to operate and create opportunities despite the challenges Dr. Nduom had faced in Ghana. According to him, the success of the businesses in other countries demonstrates that Ghanaian-owned enterprises can compete and contribute meaningfully to the economies of other countries. He noted that the businesses had provided employment and economic opportunities to people outside Ghana, expressing the hope that similar opportunities could be restored in the country.
Mr. Afrifa-Oware further called for efforts to revive Dr. Nduom’s banking operations in Ghana, saying the return of indigenous financial institutions could create jobs and provide additional opportunities for businesses and individuals. He argued that when locally owned companies were allowed to grow and expand, the benefits go beyond their owners, as they contribute to employment, tax revenue, investment and other economic activities. The political analyst also stressed the importance of creating a business environment that supports indigenous companies, saying Ghana must develop policies that enable local businesses to survive, expand and compete effectively. He said the experience of Groupe Nduom’s operations in Liberia should serve as an example of what Ghanaian businesses can achieve when given the opportunity to operate in a stable and supportive environment.
Mr. Afrifa-Oware expressed hope that Dr. Nduom’s banking operations could eventually return to Ghana, adding that such a development would enable Ghanaians to benefit from the jobs and economic opportunities associated with the business. He maintained that strengthening indigenous businesses should remain an important part of Ghana’s economic strategy, particularly at a time when the country needed more jobs and stronger local enterprises. He therefore urged stakeholders to support Ghanaian entrepreneurs and businesses, stressing that the growth of indigenous companies could play a significant role in driving job creation, investment and sustainable economic growth.
