SIX-UNIT CLASSROOM BLOCK AT KRAMOKROM NEARS COMPLETION

August 31, 2026

A six-unit classroom block being constructed at Kramokrom in the Anyinabrem Electoral Area of the Wassa Amenfi Central Constituency is nearing completion, with the project now at the roofing stage. The project is being undertaken following a commitment made by the Member of Parliament for Wassa Amenfi Central, Joana Gyan Cudjoe, during her 2024 campaign tour. During the tour, the MP promised residents of Kramokrom a new six-unit classroom block to replace the community's old and dilapidated classroom structure, which was considered unsuitable for effective teaching and learning. The ongoing construction is therefore expected to address some of the infrastructure challenges confronting the community's educational sector and provide pupils and teachers with a more suitable environment for academic activities. The progress of the project to the roofing stage marks a major step towards its completion. Once completed, the facility is expected to provide additional and improved classroom space for pupils in the area. The project is also being cited as part of efforts by MsJoana Gyan Cudjoe to fulfil development commitments made to constituents during the 2024 election campaign. Beyond the Kramokrom classroom project, several other developmental projects are reportedly under construction in various communities across the Wassa Amenfi Central Constituency. According to the project update, these projects are at various stages of completion and are expected to be ready for commissioning once construction works are completed. The ongoing projects are expected to contribute to the development of communities within the constituency and improve access to essential infrastructure. The Kramokrom six-unit classroom block, in particular, is expected to provide a replacement for the old structure and create a more conducive environment for teaching and learning. The development comes as the constituency continues to see investment in community infrastructure, with the focus on projects intended to respond to the needs of residents. The completion of the classroom block will therefore be closely watched by residents of Kramokrom, who are expected to benefit directly from the new facility. Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, who represents the Wassa Amenfi Central Constituency in Parliament, has been commended by supporters for the progress of the project and efforts towards fulfilling the promise made to the community. The project update described the development as evidence of the MP's commitment to delivering on promises made to constituents and improving infrastructure across the constituency.
