Sunyani West MP is my wife-Ayariga
August 27, 2026

Majority Leader of Parliament, Mahama Ayariga, has confirmed that he is married to Millicent Amankwah Yeboah, the Member of Parliament for Sunyani West.
The revelation came during Ayariga’s vetting as Minister-designate for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs.
Millicent Yeboah’s presence at the vetting had earlier sparked interest, particularly because of where she was seated during the proceedings.
When Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin asked Ayariga who he trusted the most, he pointed to Millicent Yeboah and identified her as his wife.
The confirmation was further reinforced by the Chairman of Parliament’s Appointments Committee, Bernard Ahiafor, who introduced the Sunyani West MP as the wife of the Majority Leader at the end of the vetting.
The two legislators have reportedly been seen together at a number of public events, including funerals and the graduation ceremonies of their children.
They are also reported to have two children.
Their marriage means Parliament currently has a husband-and-wife duo serving as Members of Parliament, although the relationship had not been widely known among the public.
